Global Sailor: Could you add NMEA 2000 so we could connect plotters and instruments for global sailing? Background is that we could use it for teaching electronic charting. And with AIS we could see other vessels…
We are working with GPS and AIS Simulation that we could extend to VR then. Even radar would be possible. (https://www.sailsoft.nl/ais_simulator.html)
With GRIB files we could add historical and actual weather patterns to train weather routing…

Hey Christian - interesting! I assume you have already seen https://www.marineverse.com/globe ... so if I understand correctly, rather then MarineVerse providing and tracking boat location... you would like to have a realtime simulation, where location is provided to the app via NMEA 2000 protocol?
