Why MarineVerse?
I am interested in sharpening my sailing skills and having fun with other like minded people during the off season of boating.
Sailing experience:
I have about 25 years total experience sailing and boating. I am currently in training to be a NauticEd instructor. I grew up on the New Jersey coast sailing and boating on the Barnegat Bay, Great Bay and Atlantic Ocean. I have also spent a great deal of time in Florida boating on the Gulf coast from St. Pete Beach down to Sanibel Island. I currently operate a charter service in Atlantic City and split my time between my place in Brigantine and my home along the Delaware River in Burlington County, New Jersey. I am a US Coast Guard licensed Captain and served 10 years in the Coast Guard as a Marine Science Technician and qualified boat crew. I have also served in the USCG Auxiliary for the past 13 years as an Assistant District Staff Officer in the Marine Safety and Environmental Protection Program. I am currently employed as a Captain in Charge of coastal research vessels.
