Cruise sailing mode
SUGGESTED BY (John Frings): As suggested by ileeze on Discord, a cruising mode with some small islands to navigate around would be nice. Especially if the wind (and perhaps even currents) would be dynamic to some degree.

This now kind of exists with "Free sail" mode in Locations screen. It's not quite cruising, as you are still limited to "open water area", but the race course is removed, while wind and gusts are dynamic ( randomised ). So you can take the boat out for a sailing session, without a race.
Have you tried "Big Breezy Boat"? It doesn't have all those features, but it does have islands and a map, and it is work in progress.
For those new to Marineverse like myself, Big Breezy Boat is no longer available on either Meta or Steam. I believe it’s been rolled into the main app as the Free Sailing mode
