Whether you're part of a yacht club, sailing school, or just a group of mates who love the water - MarineVerse Groups let you find each other and sail together in VR.

Find your people

See who from your club is already sailing on MarineVerse. You might be surprised - there are sailors from over 500 clubs worldwide already on the platform.

Race together

Organise multiplayer races with your group. Compare times on your club leaderboard. See who has been putting in the hours.

Sail your home waters

For selected clubs, we provide photorealistic 3D recreations of your actual sailing club location - so you can practice in the waters you know, from your living room.

No permission needed

You do not need to be the commodore. If you sail at a club and use MarineVerse, you can join (or create) your club's group. Think of it as being your club's VR sailing champion.

▶What are MarineVerse Groups?
Groups are communities within MarineVerse representing real-world and virtual sailing clubs, schools, associations, or teams. When you join a group, you connect with other VR sailors from your organisation, compete on club leaderboards, and coordinate sailing or racing together.
▶How do I find my sailing club's group?
Use the search at the top of the Groups page. Search by club name, short name, or city. If your club exists, click through to join. If not, you can create it in 30 seconds.
▶Do I need permission to create or join a group?
No! Anyone can create or join a group. You don't need to be the commodore or an official. Think of it as being your club's VR sailing champion. If you sail at a club and use MarineVerse, you belong in that group.
▶How do I create a new group?
Go to your profile's Sailing Club tab and follow the prompts. You'll need a name and location. The group will be created immediately and you'll be the first member.

▶What can I do with a group?
See who from your club is on MarineVerse, compare times on club leaderboards, coordinate multiplayer races, and for verified groups, access discount codes and special features. Groups with more members unlock additional tools over time.
▶Are there club leaderboards?
Yes! Each group has leaderboards showing member rankings. See who's been putting in the hours and compete for the top spot within your club.
▶Can we race each other?
Absolutely. Use multiplayer features in MarineVerse Sailing Club to organise races with your group members. Some clubs set up regular weekly sessions.
▶What is a 'Verified' group?
Verified groups have been confirmed as representing an official sailing organisation. Verification unlocks additional features like bulk Sailing Pass pricing, engagement analytics, and priority access to new features. Contact ahoy@marineverse.com to request verification.
