Why MarineVerse?
I'd buy a J22 and sail it out of Berkeley, but A) I'm lazy, and B) I don't like the idea of paying property tax on a piece of water I don't actually own. This is much cheaper, and I don't have to go anywhere or get cold and wet to do it.
Sailing experience:
Mostly cruising in the Santa Barbara Channel and racing on San Francisco Bay and in the Gulf of the Farallons. A couple of cruises on Lake Erie and once on the South River in Annapolis.
