Controller input mapping
Allow players to map different buttons on controllers to different functions in the game. For example right joystick could be used for locomotion, jib or mainsail.
Steam version allows now to map keyboard and gamepad / joystick.. We could consider allowing remapping of VR controllers, if still needed ( SteamVR itself allows a bit or remapping )

Also in Cup, the command to hold a sheet is not the same command to hold a tiller, which is frustrating, because I'd ideally like to simply bind one command to hold either, with either hand.

Neither of these complaints are true in VR Regatta. I was able to set that up so that I can hold either the sheet or the tiller with either hand by closing my fingers.

Greg Dziemidowicz There's a frustrating disparity between "Right Grip Button" command (not the button itself) and "Left Grip Button" command (not the button itself) on Valve Index Controllers: Left holds on to the tiller WHILE held, but Right toggles the grip of the tiller on and off when pressed.
What I'm trying to accomplish: on both Grips, they both hold the tiller WHILE held. This enables me to hold the tiller in either hand just by closing my hand or opening it.

I play with a keyboard and mouse and would like to use different keys (cursor right & left) for steering.
Jerry Brewster: This should now work ( using arrow keys for steering )
With wmr controllers we can lock up the functions by pressing one button.

I already have a home built rudder mechanism to rest my arm and plenty of well abused controllers and wheels that I havnt thrown
