Reverse steering when in irons

Reverse steering when in irons

by Pedroover 5 years ago

When the boat is in irons and no longer making way, it should start making way in reverse. When the boat is adrift, making way in reverse, the effect of the helm or tiller on the boat heading should be reversed.
To reduce confusion, the knotmeter should show a (-) sign to indicate the boat is making way in reverse.
