Globe-Beta Sail Trimming

Globe-Beta Sail Trimming

It is very hard to get accurate sail trims. The movements with the thumb sticks are too imprecise. It will be very helpful for the sensitivity of the trims to be turned down significantly so that more accurate trimming can be made.

Greg merged "Globe - reduce sheet sensitivity" into this post on October 05, 2025 08:03.

Original description:
It can be very difficult to adjust the sail accurately, either with the thumbsticks or the the winch/mainsheet. Reducing the sensitive will be most helpful, or building in expo gain to give lower sensitivity to the smaller amount of stick throw.

Perhaps a bit of an exponential function could be applied to both sail trim and wheel/tiller. That is, the this initial thumb stick movement outside the dead band area, would move the sails/tiller a smaller amount, and more extreme thumbstick movement would move the sails/tiller more.
