Dinghy Edition – MarineVerse Cup Anniversary Regatta 2025

To celebrate the 3-year anniversary of MarineVerse Cup, we are organizing the Anniversary Regatta 2025!

Join us for a MarineVerse multiplayer sailing tournament featuring 1v1 dinghy racing matches. The tournament will run from March 5–14, coinciding with our regular Sunday Fun Race and Windy Wednesday events.

🏆 Registration

• Deadline: Sunday, March 4, 7 AM UTC
• Format: Single elimination, 1v1 matches, win at least 2 races
• Open to: All MarineVerse Sailing Club players
• Registration: Button at the bottom of this page

⛵ Match Format

• Win 2 races to win the match
• Boat Class: Dinghy only
• Courses:
  • Race 1: LONG course – 1,2,3,1,3
  • Race 2: LONG course – 1,2,1
  • Race 3 (if needed): LONG course – 1,2,3,1,3,1,3
• Multiplayer Settings: Collision with Right of Way (ROW) enabled

📌 How to Participate

1. Register by March 4, 2025.
2. After registration closes, you’ll be assigned to the tournament bracket.
3. Connect with your opponent on MarineVerse Discord (#tourney-scheduling) to schedule your match.
4. Complete your race and report the result on Discord.
   • You can race 1v1 or use fleet racing (report your position relative to your assigned opponent only).
5. Greg@MarineVerse will update the bracket manually to advance winners.
6. Make sure you MarineVerse account is linked with Discord - Link via My Profile page - 3rd party account tab.

📢 Important Notes

• Each match is best-of-3 – win 2 races to advance.
• Scheduling is flexible within the tournament period (March 5–14).
  • We aim to complete the tournament by March 14, but may extend if necessary.
• Match results must be reported on Discord to progress in the tournament.
• The 3rd place match will be held between semi-finalists who did not reach the final.
• No prizes will be awarded for this tournament ( at this stage ).
