Ghost boats reduced opacity

Ghost boats reduced opacity

Hey Greg, it's not a lot of times, but it's definitely something that happens near the start and windward mark- when the overlap between boats is too much, their sails can stop you from seeing your own boat or the mark. I think it'd be good if they were just 80% opacity

Let me know if it's still an issue ( currently ghosts disappear when there is overlap )

I agree with Aaron the sails at least need to be a bit more transparant. But i also agree with Peter that hard ghosts and penalties ought to be the long term aim

The only thing worse than a bad spinaker set is having to be the anchor monkey when it has fouled itself in a putrid mass of "something". Ahh the fun of reality

Yes I realised that as soon as I made the comment, call it a rush of blood to the supid side of the brain, but the ghosts are one of the best things in this sim. All thats missing is the captain yelling at me on the grinders, or trying to set the spinaker on the bow after 2faces worth of chop gets you in the face and everywhere else. Even worse, trying to retrieve one that is completely dipped on rounding the bouy.

Actually I would like to see the ghost hardened so that I ,as a racer, have to avoid hitting another competitor as I would have to in real life

Peter Bolton: Peter! but they have no rules and so it's not like real life. Port boats would run right into you on starboard like in VR Regatta.
I like the idea of multiplayer and good AI racers but until we have that I've grown to really enjoy the ghosts.
